Symmetography
Symmetry and mirror imagery, or symmetography, are recurring elements throughout my photography, serving as both visual anchors and conceptual tools. By incorporating mirrored reflections and balanced compositions I create images that invite viewers to pause and look beyond the surface. Symmetry brings a sense of order, harmony, and stillness, often blurring the line between reality and illusion.
Symmetography can transform ordinary subjects into something unexpected, revealing alternate perspectives and prompting deeper observation. The repetition of shapes and forms creates a visual rhythm that draws the eye inward, encouraging contemplation rather than a quick glance.
Through symmetography, my goal is ultimately that my work explores the beauty of structure, the complexity of perception, and the hidden relationships that exist within everyday scenes.
